Currently sitting in the No. 1 position in the FIFA rankings, the United States Women’s National Team continues to be a dominant force in the world of soccer. From household names like Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe, to the next generation of rising stars led by Trinity Rodman and Sophia Smith, it looks like the rest of the world will continue to play catch-up to the precedent set over the last decade by the USWNT.

With their next World Cup run approaching quickly, head coach Vlatko Andonovski has made some interesting roster picks, leaving room for some of the younger players to step up and create a legacy for themselves in the world of women’s soccer. Let’s dive into our picks for those interested in adding some value into either their personal collection or trading portfolio.

Alex Morgan has established herself as a leader and staple for the USWNT with her consistently strong play. Now entering her 4th World Cup, the 33-year-provides exceptional leadership as well as experience on the big stage. Trinity Rodman 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-TR Signature Series – Purple Ink /50 Raw

Trinity Rodman is quickly emerging as an elite young player, making her first appearance for the senior team in early 2022. While the California native has relinquished her title of the youngest player drafted in NWSL history, Rodman has an extremely bright future ahead as she looks to help transition the next group of elite women’s talent into stars for the USWNT. Her 2021 Parkside NWSL Signature Series Raw card sits in the No. 2 spot, trading at $1,800 in the summer of 2022. With the widespread optimism for Rodman’s progression, this number could continue to climb barring a strong World Cup performance.

Alex Morgan 2022 Donruss #20 Kaboom! / (SSP) Raw

Coming in at No. 3 is Morgan’s raw Donruss. Even without being graded this card has sold for $850, and is currently listed as high as $1,360. While you’re taking on a higher risk ungraded, the upside for a strong 2023 campaign from Morgan could ease the mind of some cautious buyers. With Andonovski’s selections, Morgan has no true replacement in the 9 spot in this year’s World Cup, meaning her workload and goal opportunities should both increase. Pair this with a steadily declining card price and this could be a great card to make some plays on.

Sophia Smith 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-SS Signature Series – Purple Ink /50 Raw

Currently leading the NWSL in most goals (10), Sophia Smith provides some real pop for the USWNT at the forward position. Many insiders currently view her as one of, if not the, most integral pieces for the team’s success. Another young force to pair with Rodman, Smith is due for a big World Cup showing. Her Parkside NWSL Purple Ink Raw card sold as high as $1,330 in February, and with just 50 in circulation holds the 4th ranking in our top 10 list.

Trinity Rodman 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-TR Signature Series – Blue Ink /250 RAW

Rodman’s 2021 Parkside NWSL Signature Series Blue Ink Raw card is the 3rd most frequently traded card on our list. It also has shown the highest cost increase of $120 over the last 365 days. Selling as high at $1,150 this year, the Blue Ink Raw shows consistency and upside to climb this list in the future.

Right behind Rodman’s Parkside Blue Ink Raw sits her Blue Ink PSA 8. This card has actually sold at a higher value recently in comparison to the Raw version ($905 to $720), but with the potential grading boost, buyers appear to be more willing to take the jump on the potential of the ungraded cards. Nonetheless, her PSA 8 card still holds strong value.

Sophia Smith 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-SS Signature Series –  Blue Ink /250 Raw

Smith’s second appearance here comes from her Parkside NWSL Blue Ink raw edition. This is one of two cards on our list that has shown a price increase over the past 365 days, jumping 16%. This raw card has climbed as high as $898 in the past year. If you’re willing to take a stab at the uncertainty of a raw card, Smith’s blue ink could provide strong returns if her hot scoring frenzy continues into the World Cup.

Trinity Rodman 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-TR Signature Series Raw

Our second to last spot is held by Rodman’s 2021 Parkside NWSL Signature Series raw card, trading at an average of $660. This rookie card could potentially be a strong ‘buy now’ option for buyers looking for quick profits, as it has dropped $169 in pricing over the past year. With many hoping for a strong sophomore campaign from Rodman, we could see her card values jump across the board.

Sophia Smith 2021 Parkside NWSL #SS-SS Signature Series Blue Ink /250 SGC 9

Rounding off our list is another Signature Series Blue Ink card SGC 9. Despite only selling once last year, this card went for $580 and provides similar profit opportunities as she continues to climb the ranks of USWNT stars.
