Devin Booker Rises, Luka Doncic Slips As NBA Playoffs Close In
With Kevin Durant possibly returning soon, Devin Booker’s card market is trending up leading into the NBA playoffs. Elsewhere, Luka Doncic and the Mavericks are trending down, and his key rookies are going down, too.
Dive into the data for Booker and Doncic as well as other trending players and cards in this week’s NBA Market Movers update.
Cards listed below are PSA 10s with a minimum average of $30 and 10 sales over the last 30 days.
Price Percentage Risers
Player | Card | Percent Change |
Jonathan Kuminga | 2021 Prizm #307 Base PSA 10 | +204% |
Luka Doncic | 2019 Select #67 Concourse PSA 10 | +122% |
Brandon Ingram | 2016 Prizm #131 Base PSA 10 | +119% |
Kyrie Irving | 2012 Hoops #223 Base PSA 10 | +88% |
Marvin Bagley III | 2018 Prizm #181 Silver PSA 10 | +87% |
KUMINGA GAINS: It’s a little surprising to see Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga here, mostly because he’s been a complete non-factor in the hobby since coming into the league back in 2021. He’s been a critical part of Golden State’s bench this season, however, and some collectors seem to be taking a chance on a low-dollar card.
Kuminga’s 2021 Prizm Base PSA 10 was selling for just $16 a month ago, but a five-game stretch where he’s averaged 16 points per game has that card up closer to $50. His PSA 10 rookies tracked by Market Movers are up 5% collectively over the last 30 days, too, but don’t expect him to become a hobby standout anytime soon.
Despite winning multiple titles, any Warriors stars not named Stephen Curry have struggled to maintain consistent hobby traction in recent years — Kuminga is likely no different.

IONESCU DROPS: Another non-regular in this space is Sabrina Ionescu — her cards typically don’t see massive bumps in price to land among the top risers, but a monster free agency for the New York Liberty earned her some price increases that are now regressing.
The Liberty made huge splashes after signing stars Breanna Stewart and Courtney Vandersloot this offseason and even added 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones via trade. New York appears to be well-positioned for a dynasty-level run, and Ionescu could be a major beneficiary as the most popular hobby target among WNBA players.
As expected, the WNBA doesn’t have nearly the popularity of the NBA in the hobby, but 2020 WNBA Prizm hobby boxes sell pretty regularly with many searching for Ionescu, so don’t be surprised if her cards recover nicely during the regular season.

PLAYOFF PUSH: The Phoenix Suns are 38-34 and 4th in the West, and Devin Booker‘s market could be seeing an uptick with the playoffs and Kevin Durant‘s return both closing in.
Booker’s 2015 Prizm Silver Base PSA 10 and 2015 Prizm Base PSA 10 are both up over the last month as he’s poured in 30 points per game since the Feb 9 trade deadline. An outlier low sale on his Prizm Base makes his chart look off, but he’s still seeing solid volume on both cards and strong dollar change on that Silver.
Similar to recent years, Booker’s market is worth monitoring closely during the playoffs — he’s won in the regular season, but it probably takes a title win to really see his market surge, and Kevin Durant might be the player to put the Suns over the top in the West.

DONCIC SLIDES: Many collectors were expecting a dynamic backcourt with Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic to propel the Mavericks to a strong regular-season finish, but that really hasn’t been the case. Since acquiring Irving back on Feb 6, Dallas has won just seven games and Irving and Doncic have combined to miss 12 games.
Doncic had missed five straight games before returning Wednesday night — a loss to the Warriors — and his cards have started to trend down after starting the season as a serious contender for MVP. His 2018 Prizm Silver PSA 10 is among the biggest dollar decliners right now, and his 2018 Prizm Base PSA 10 is among the biggest percentage decliners, too.
Overall, Doncic’s PSA 10 rookies tracked by Market Movers are down 8% collectively over the last 30 days. He’ll obviously remain one of the most popular players in the hobby — his sales volume on key rookies proves that — but the Mavericks are currently set for a play-in game and need to figure things out for a deep playoff run.
