This week’s Top 5 Hottest Sports Cards is led by a pair of NBA players who have revamped their games this season and two young sluggers who have seen their prices going way, way up.

5. Shane Bieber

Because winning the American League Cy Young wasn’t enough, Bieber has started 2021 smoking batters off the field. His 49 strikeouts tie him with Nolan Ryan for most through the first four games of a season, and he’s struck out at least eight batters in 16 straight games.

4. Gary Trent Jr.

Moving into a starting role with Toronto has done a lot for Trent’s game and his cards. Trent Jr. was traded from Portland to the Raptors at the deadline and is now averaging almost 18 points per game as the starting shooting guard.

He’s shooting 40% from 3 and his defense has gotten better, too. His 2018 Prizm Base PSA 10 is up 88.9% over the last 30 days.

3. Julius Randle

A first-time All-Star this season, Randle has turned the corner in a serious way in 2021. He’s averaging nearly 24 points per game on 46% shooting from the floor and 41% from 3.

2. Ronald Acuna Jr.

The Sports Card Investor community asked for Ronald Acuña Jr., so here’s Ronald Acuña Jr. The Atlanta Braves megastar has started off the year hot, batting .419 with seven homers and 16 RBI already. He’s listed as day-to-day after an abdominal strain, but his card prices are likely still going to go up.

1. Akil Baddoo
